c-Seven's objective in building Mantis was so
that we could expand our development capacity without having to expand our work
force. By separating the interface of a website from the content and navigation
it allows a single user or multiple users to update each element individually.
For example, while your customer is working on their navigation and content,
you can be working on their logo, interface or buttons. This streamlines the
process of developing and maintaining a website.
The traditional means of building a website
are often quite time consuming. Consider this: how long would it take you to
create a photo gallery with 100 photos that has clickable thumbnails with back/
next buttons on every page and the thumbnail pages have 10 thumbs each? If you
answered over an hour you are spending way too much time doing so. With Mantis
you can upload a zip file containing your images and it will automatically
create your thumbnails and resize your image to the width specified all in
about 5 minutes with very little effort from you. Once the gallery is uploaded
you can define how many pictures go across/down in the gallery, the order of
the photos, and how many you want on each page. And that is just one of the
many tools and features Mantis has to offer.
